What are the ranges on offer at The Shutter Store?

Our fantastic-value, stylish plantation shutters are in three collections.

Essential shutters are our best-selling range and will give every window a chic, streamlined finish, regulating light and creating privacy.

 

Hardwood shutters are made from quality basswood timber and have a smooth finish. They’ll complement the rest of the decor in any room because they come in a choice of 12 paint finishes or 8 beautiful wood stains.

 

Waterproof shutters are the natural choice for bathrooms and wet rooms as – made from robust and enduring polyvinyl with an aluminium core – they’ll stand up to splashes. Choose from four elegant neutral paint finishes.

 

What are Essential shutters made from?

Our Essential shutters are made with basswood timber frames with polyvinyl louvres that have a tough aluminium core. This material combination gives our shutters supreme good looks, but also makes them great value and ensures they have maximum durability, so you can be sure you’re opting for a lastingly stylish window treatment.

Where can I hang Essential shutters?

Our elegant Essential shutters are all-rounders, looking great from inside and giving your home kerb appeal on the outside. Our shutters will complement classic or contemporary-style living spaces, and they’re the ideal treatment for bay windows as well as other window styles because they’re custom made to fit each individual window.
 

Try our shutters in home offices as well, where they’ll stop glare on the screens of all your devices with their adjustable louvres.

 

Our Essential shutters are a great solution for kitchen and kitchen-diner windows, too. Unlike blinds, shutters won’t absorb cooking odours and they’re really simple to clean – a quick wipe is all that’s required to keep them looking as good as new. Window above the sink? Our custom-made shutters fit neatly so there’s no interference between tap and window treatment. Best of all, they’re robust, so they’ll stand up to life in a busy working room.

Which styles do your shutters come in?

So you can dress every window in your home to perfection our shutters come in a fantastic selection of styles.

 

Full-height shutters will dress the entire window from top to bottom. They’ll keep prying eyes out and let as much daylight in as you want – simply adjust the slats to regulate the light. Perfect for windows, they can also be used to dress doors with exactly the same benefits.

 

Tier-on-tier shutters cover the entire window, too. What’s the difference between these and full-height shutters? The top and bottom shutter panels are independent from each other for ultimate flexibility in controlling views into and out of the room and adjusting the light.

 

Café-style shutters cover just the lower part of the window with the top left open. Use them in spaces where maximum daylight’s required and covering just the bottom section of the window is enough to stop passers-by looking in.

What colours do Essential shutters come in?

Our Essential shutters come in a beautiful range of 12 paint colours to complement every home and look. Opt for the simplicity of Pure White, or the soft reflectivity of Silk White;  select a cream or grey-toned paint; or opt for a striking deep neutral shade to make the shutters a focal point. All our colours are chosen to work in schemes featuring other neutral shades, or bolder colours.

 

Hanging shutters in a kid’s bedroom? Then our Kids’ Collection of colours features eight shades from eye-catchers like Duckling Yellow and Ocean Teal (shown above) to softer tones of green, white and grey.
