What are PVC Shutters?
Fitting window shutters in your home is the perfect way to add style, luxury, durability, and practicality to any space. There are a range of different types of shutters to choose from, including water resistant PVC shutters.
PVC shutters are crafted from polyvinyl chloride. This is a highly durable plastic material that is known for being a flexible and cost-effective material to manufacture from.
Unlike more traditional hardwood shutters, PVC shutters have water resistant properties that make them the perfect choice for kitchens, bathrooms, and wet rooms.

Why choose polyvinyl shutters for windows?
Polyvinyl window shutters offer the same classic appearance as traditional wooden shutters, but are the ideal solution for rooms where moisture can build up and potentially damage the material of your window coverings.
PVC shutters are a popular choice due to their easy maintenance, water resistant properties and functionality.
When compared with blinds or curtains, polyvinyl window shutters are a more practical solution for bathroom and kitchen windows.

What styles do PVC shutters come in?
Similarly, to hardwood shutters, PVC window shutters are available in a flexible range of styles to suit your design needs and tastes.
The most popular choice for PVC shutters is full height shutters. These shutters cover the full length of your windows and operate as a single panel. They provide ultimate light control whilst maintaining privacy.
Café style shutters are an excellent alternative to full height PVC shutters. This style covers just the bottom section of your window, meaning you get lots of natural light flooding into your room. This option is popular for bathroom windows where opaque windows have been fitted.
Tier on tier shutters are something of a blend between full height and café style shutters. They cover the full length of the window but operate as two separate panels. This means you can leave the bottom section closed, whilst opening the top panels to let more light in.
