You may recognise Stacey & Adam’s stunning home from Instagram. They’ve built a loyal following in sharing decoration updates they’ve made to their Edwardian property in Suffolk (see their profile at @end_of_the_row) We were thrilled when Stacey and Adam chose The Shutter Store shutters to decorate their upstairs and downstairs bay windows with, transforming the kerb appeal and light control in their home. Keen to make the most of their home’s original Edwardian box bay windows, which can notoriously feel difficult to dress, Stacey and Adam opted for tier-on-tier plantation shutters for their stylish, simple design and practicality. They installed our shutters in the two front facing rooms in their home - their living room and master bedroom. “We chose our shutters from The Shutter Store because they were really good value and cheaper than a lot of other brands we had seen. They keep their costs down a little because you have to personally measure and install the shutters. I know that may put some people off but honestly the scariest bit is measuring. Installing them was a piece of cake.” says Stacey. ‘After having our shutters fitted we couldn’t believe how much more light and space we had in our bay window’ Stacey shared. With tier-on-tier shutters, Stacey can now open up the top set of shutters to let even more light flood in, keeping the bottom set closed for privacy, a formation that works particularly well when getting dressed in bedrooms or if you live in a home that has a lot of people walking past. Shutters are the best window dressing for light and privacy. Closer up, Stacey & Adam have considered all the details choosing 64mm slats which offer a little more privacy and brass hinges as a nod to the period property.
