Behind the scenes - how we transformed this house with shutters

Not only do the shutters we installed show the great variety of styles and finishes on offer, it’s also a great demonstration of just how quick and easy fitting any of our shutters can be.

On this occasion the shutters were all installed for a shoot - expect to see the finished pictures in magazines and on our Pinterest page very soon. We shoot our latest styles and ranges every year, and this time was an epic effort. We spent three days painting, installing and styling up the house from scratch with a team of photographers, stylists, and of course our trusty shutter fitters.

We managed to fit seven sets of shutters in just one day - proof that our shutters are designed to be swift and easy to install, whether you are an expert or a DIY novice. Our website has everything you need to know to ensure that you get the shutters you want and can install them with ease. We have dedicated videos showing you everything from how to measure up without mistakes to how to fit our shutters when they arrive. There are also easy-to-follow guides to keep close to hand if you need extra help, and our customer service staff are famous for giving that extra bit of hand-holding along the way if you need it. It really couldn’t be simpler.

Back at the shoot we set up rooms in a variety of styles, from a chic monochrome scheme to a Christmas room in a lovely deep, warm red (yes, on the shutters too!). But our favourite transformation of the day was this elegant traditional bathroom, where the addition of half-height shutters added a crisp finishing touch that lets you enjoy privacy in the roll-top bath while still letting light flood in through the generous window.
